Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.

Ducking for apples - change one letter and it's the story of my life.

There is much pleasure to be gained from useless knowledge.

Life, or something like it.

Life, as you can imagine, has been ever so slightly insane lately. I am still in Texas, Bobito is still in ICU and these past few weeks have just been hellish.

Bobito made the paper last week. Here's a link to the article. I don't normally like to put a whole lot of personal info in this diary, but what the hell.

Bobito is awake, somewhat coherent, although he had some head trauma so he's still a little fuzzy and hostile and combative at times, which we hope will only be temporary. We don't want a Phineas Gage on our hands.

He's going in for high-risk surgery on Monday to repair/replace his hip and femur on his right side.

As for the little bitch who did this...she lied and the police, even after telling my mom that they didn't buy her story for a minute, still submitted it in the police report AND the hospital she was taken to for her minor facial lacerations didn't do any blood tests to determine if she was drunk. So, she'll probably walk away from this with not even a slap on the wrist. She wasn't even given a fucking ticket.

An accident reconstruction specialist has determined that her story is bullshit, but I doubt much will be done. Her family's sort of famous, or infamous, actually. Her grandfather was a federal judge who was assassinated here in El Paso by Woody Harrelson's father. I don't know her name, but if I ever saw her, I think I would slap her silly.

I'll update on Monday after the surgery. Keep your fingers crossed for Bobito, he's a good man and didn't deserve this.
