It only took him 8 freakin' years and a little bit of meddling by me and Dad.
He's in Philly this weekend for a friend's wedding and his girlfriend is with him. And, I don't know, maybe he was moved by the romance of the wedding or something, but he finally popped the question. He took her out and had her pick an engagement ring. So now they are officially engaged and I have an excuse to buy the latest copy of 'Modern Bride'. People will no longer think: "tragic spinster getting her jollies", oh no, they will think "meddling future sister-in-law" and they will think that because I will tell them to. Yee-freakin' haw.
Big Al...getting married. *sniff* I'm a bit verklempt.
