Somebody call Bob Villa, stat!
So, apparently, my streak of self-reliance is OVER. Tonight I tried to change a light bulb and apparently blew out most of the fuses in my apartment, including my bedroom, dining room and bathroom. In fact, in some sort of ironic twist, the only fuses I didn't blow belonged to my computer and T.V.
When I flipped the switch to turn on the light after I changed the bulb, there was FIRE. FIRE, people.
Now I have to clean my apartment before I call my landlord to beg his forgiveness for me being a dumbass.
I'm sorry landlord, I'm sorry I'm such a dumbass. I promise to never, ever, EVER think myself able to handle simple tasks again. I will go back to my role as useless woman in the kitchen, mixing martinis and baking bread. If I can handle it.
I think I might have also electrocuted myself. There's a definite tingly-ness right now in my hand.
God I suck.
