Sounds like you are overqualified for that job anyway, and the Slag probably knows it, and doesn't want someone with that much of a brain in a clerk position. Which was maybe the curx of the problem anyway? You think too much to just take the routine crap in a job like that. Here's a thought, but maybe a really tough one: If you need more $, maybe look into substituting in local schools. Sometimes a school will even hire a librarian sub when the librarian is out. (My school no longer does this, of course, but mostly because there are no librarian subs out there.) Hours are flexible, down here the money's not bad, either.
